Operation Manual for Motorcycle Rider Solo ICE Chest Cooler System
The Compcooler ICE Chest Cooling System combines a tubing-lined full body cooling garment with a liquid cooling system housed in an ice chest to form a tethered thermal regulation device. Although this cooling system is highly transportable, it is designed for use in stationary applications whereby the ice chest is located away from the User’s person but connected with tubing.
The garment is made with a breathable and stretchable material that weighs a mere 1.0KG (2.2 lbs.), dry weight. Available in sizes XS/S, M/L, L/2XL, 3XL/4XL, the garment cools four zones including the torso, arms, legs and head. It’s easy to don and comfortable to wear against the body. The garment is designed to stretch 5-10% for a snug fit, ensuring maximum thermal transfer. The liquid cooling system is a separate ice chest that weighs 1.5KG (3.3 lbs.), dry weight. It contains a 3.0-liter removable ice container, circulation pump, power source, and power switch. When operating, it’s audible output is 45dBA.
Cooling energy is provided by freezing the water in the ice container. This is easily accomplished by removing the 3.0L container from the ice chest, filling it with water and then placing the container in a freezer. Once frozen, the container is easily replaced in the ice chest and topped off with water. The vest is connected to the pump on the ice chest using quick-connect fittings. Power is derived from a choice of several sources. The system comes standard with two types of 12VDC adapters that operate off vehicle power. One type can be connected directly to the vehicle battery and the other type can be connected using a cigarette lighter plug. Also available as are an optional 7.4V battery pack, a 110-220VAC adapter or USB 5V adapter. Note: water flow is reduced if powered by the USB 5V adapter.
To operate the system turn the switch ‘On’ and the pump circulates cold water in a continuous loop between the ice chest and vest, three levels flow control pump unit for regulating the cooling temperature, Flow rate, 250ml/min, 350ml/min and 500ml/min,. Users can expect a cooling duration anywhere from 2 to 3 hours depending on ambient temperatures and workload.
Additional ice containers and battery packs can be purchased for prolonged cooling.
