The garment is amazing when used complete. If you wish to wear the garment without the cap be prepared to get wet. They use similar tubing to IV lines. Next time you're at a hospital maybe bring the cap along and test my theory. The other side of this problem is the garment itself requires the cap to fully function. As the lines to the cap are approximately through the middle of your back, the cap completing the piping to the other half of the garment.

Also... the chin strap is annoying, I'll probably cut it off and have it altered to a velcro strap if needed accessory.

Wrong bladder, design flaw.

I purchased the 3L system and was sent a 2.5L bladder. .5L isn't that much of a difference outside of a high heat environment. Think of this vest like a plate carrier that strap around your abdomin.The system is very fluffy making keeping the lowest strap impossible to synch down to keep it against your lower stomach. The strap would slip underneath the front portion of the vest actually lifting and pulling it away from your abdomin nullifies the use and purpose.

Fine Product

The hose assembly purchased compliments the cooling vest I previously bought. Coupled with the cooling pump I fabricated for my motorcycles, I will be one of”cool dude” this summer while traveling to destinations unknown. Nothing but fine products from this company.

Incredibly effective

I tried this one recently and the difference wearing it vs not was night and day. Full disclosure, I'm wearing this to keep cool inside of a stuffy costume, and this seriously allows me to do whatever I want in there for 3 hours in relative comfort. Do note if you're using ice cubes the time is halved, but this is an amazing all-in-one solution for cooling yourself down for whatever situation calls for it.
